RaP CHoiR
The
name “RaP CHOiR” was conceived as the result of attracting specifically Rappers
who desire to worship God like the conventional choir but through Rap. This
group is basically and strictly a Rap Choir.
The
Rap Choir is exceptional in bringing worship and praise strictly through Rap
format. It moves with the Times and Seasons without changing the original
intention and purpose of worship unto God. The
Rap Choir breaks the tradition of the normal format of choir by bringing total
freedom, creativity and artistry into music which is a medium of worship unto
God. The Rap Choir ministers to the needs of this modern generation by
providing their kind of music, consequently, involving them in the worship. And
they are liking it!
The
major role of the choir is to bring down the glory of God with one voice. The
bible says:
2 Chronicles
5:13
“…as the
trumpeters and singers were as one, to make one sound to be heard in praising
and thanking the Lord; and when they lifted up their voice with the trumpets
and cymbals and instruments of musick, and praised the Lord, saying, For he is
good; for his mercy endureth for ever: that then the house was filled with a
cloud, even the house of the Lord”
When this is done, the
pastor has less work to do just as we see in the next verse,
Verse 14,
“So that the
priests could not stand to minister by reason of the cloud: for the glory of
the Lord had filled the house of God”.
Everybody
can join this great Choir by indicating their interest and then go through some
series of developmental training.
